Opening by opening
Mechanical where it is enough, CyberLock where control and audit matter, specified together.
06Mechanical
For the openings that don't need a chip, and sites converting a door at a time.
Mechanical cylinders, padlocks and keys, supplied alongside CyberLock. Plenty of openings are well served by a good mechanical lock, and most estates run both while they convert.
Not every opening needs electronic access control. A store cupboard, an internal door or a site that rarely changes hands may be best served by a quality mechanical cylinder and a well-kept key register. We supply mechanical cylinders, padlocks and keys as well as CyberLock, so a site can be specified opening by opening rather than all or nothing.
Most estates run both for years. CyberLock cylinders are made to the same profiles as mechanical ones, so any door can move to electronic control with a cylinder swap when the case for it is made, and nothing else on the door changes.
Mechanical keys do not have to go unaccounted for. Tether one to a CyberKey with a ValidiKey ring and a key cabinet issues, returns and audits it like any smart key.
Mechanical where it is enough, CyberLock where control and audit matter, specified together.
CyberLock cylinders fit where mechanical ones do, so upgrading later is a cylinder swap.
ValidiKey rings bring mechanical keys into a key cabinet's checkout, return and audit.
Mechanical and electronic hardware from one place, specified and supported by the same people.
No. Most sites mix the two: CyberLock where you need schedules, expiry and audit, mechanical where a key and a register are enough. We specify each opening on its merits.
Yes. CyberLock cylinders are made to the dimensions of the mechanical cylinders they replace, so the change is a cylinder swap with no wiring and no change to the door hardware.
Yes. Tethered to a CyberKey with a ValidiKey ring, a mechanical key is issued and returned through a key cabinet with a full audit trail. Trak Solutions also makes TRAK bunches, which track mechanical key bunches from a phone.
